Today over 270 children from Year 1 upto Year 6 were proud to take part in CPR training as part of a european wide initiative 'Restart a Heart' They were part of a campaign to train over 10,000 children in the East Midlands and 200,000 young people nationally. Resus nurses Cathie, Jess & Jayne worked all day to give all of our children CPR skills that could save a life. Thank you to the NUH Resus team and East Midlands Ambulance Service for providing this fantastic opportunity to our school.
Key Stage 2 Homework Club
Homework Club is for years 3, 4, 5 & 6. This runs on a Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 9:00 with children coming into school through the office.
Online safety and social media use
It has come to our attention this week that many of our children have accounts, pages and channels on various online or social media platforms. The age-limits for these platforms is usually 13 and in some cases, 16.
Book Swap Day - Friday 26th January 2018
On Friday 26th January, the whole school is taking part in Book Swap Day.
Children are invited to bring in a book from home and swap it for another book. The children will not get back their original book so please make sure they choose carefully. It is optional, but we believe it is a great opportunity for your child to get a different book at home to enjoy.
Please speak to your class teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

Day 1 and 2 Year 5/6 Residential to Kingswood @ Peak Venture
The children have made a great start to their residential trip to Kingswood.
The first day started with a trip down a coal mine at the National Mining Museum. All the children ejoyed the ride down and back in the cage lift and crawling through the replica tunnels from the different eras of coal mining in the UK. They were also praised by a parent on the adventure playground for their excellent behaviour in letting other children have a go ahead of them.
